what is the best? what is easy to use? what do you like?

The ones that call in big bulls!! Lol

Personally i focus on the best cow calls you can get your paws on, like the "widow maker" from Mossback, and or the "hot lips".
Both have gotten me some crazy, scary close encounters!!

I use reeds and tubes for bugeling, but mostly as a locator.

With the tag you have this year, just get a good cow call, the bulls bugle non-stop there! There is a lot of calls on the market now. Pick one and master it, do not try to get 5-6 of them and become an expert in two months.

You can never go wrong with anything from Primos. I just purchased the new "Cow Girl" and it is sweet! I can not wait until September to put it to good use. I use the Primos Pack Bugle for Bull location then go to the "Hootchie Mama" cow call to draw them in. Good luck. Simple piece of advice- Take it easy with the bugle. People have a tendency to over-due the bugle. The best of luck to ya!

I use alot of diferent calls some bulls like one sound and not the other but if you are new to calling then I would say primos or woodswise or maybe carlton even though I don't like carlton calls you might. after you get good with those calls then by some diaphram calls and get good with them they make the best sounds for up close and personal but long distance I have use woodswise or primos hiper lip singel or doubel I have brought bulls from a mile away with them. and by some tapes or cd of elk sounds so you know if you are making the right sounds your wife will love it good luck

I have been using the Macdaddy and it works pretty good for both Bugling and cow calling. I never go in the woods hunting elk without the Hoochie mama in my pocket.

I use several different types/brands. The only one I will NEVER have/use is the Hoochie Momma. Give me two blades of grass and I'll take that over a HM!
