How do they preserve the velvet now? I've seen lots of old mounts where the velvet gets to looking pretty ratty. I hope to get a nice velvet buck someday.

WOW! What a nice buck. They did a great job on the velvet. Is that some kind of "artificial" velvet I've heard about?

The artificial velvet they use stands out a mile away on deer and elk. It is grey and not the tan or red/brown it normally is.
