Ok, So I am going to be the first one to post this bull. I know that it is going to cause GREAT pain to some that this picture has shown up here. I am not going to say where this bull is....other than it is on TOTALLY PUBLIC GROUND!!!!! on a LE unit in the state of Utah. IT IS NOT A RANCH BULL! It is totally free roaming and out there for ANYONE to shoot with a tag. Those that have this tag good luck!! I was up there Saturday night and there was probably 30 people out there trying to look at this bull! He is already VERY known. To those that do know where this bull is...please dont say! There are already enough people out there looking at him. I just thought that the bull should be seen. I am going up again tonight to try and get some good pictures of him with My camera and I will share those if I can get some. Again.....let the debate start, but I thought all should share in a true PUBLIC LAND GIANT that Utah is creating again this year!!! Enjoy the pic.......

LOL I know Doug......It is gonna get interesting I know. I just couldnt help but post it on here!!! I think a Bull like this should be enjoyed by all!!

And I agree. I hope a local guy shoots it. I know of a few with tags that have already seen him. I hope if ANYONE gets to shoot this bad boy it is one of them and not one of the guys that pays the big finder fees and flys in and pulls the trigger. But my actual hope is.....that this guy lives a few more years to pass on those amazing genetics!!!!!
 
It look to me like he has already lived a few year, so if he is taken this year; he has already passed on some genetics and probably has given several hunters the slip in the last couple of years.

And yes I think an animal like that deserves to be taken by a hunter that puts in the time and effort.

This would be the year to 'catch' mossback in there 'suspected' treachery after all a few ppl know about this bull and its obviously one that he might give his left nut to get so get the camera out all you doyle haters and get some film on him eh? if not then i doubt any of the stories will stand after this right?

I think everyone knows where this bull is. I for one hope NO ONE shoots him. I want him to escape and eventually die of old age.

Don't be bitter that a Man from California can come out to Utah and kill a big bull on his own with couple of friends. We don't all have alot of money but some of us can get it done.

What an awesome bull. I sure hope that an average joe gets him but doesn't the governor's tag holder get a chance to shoot it with a rifle before any of the guys with archery tags get a chance? I'm not sure when the rich mans season opens but i believe arizona is that way.
 
this is the same photo i seen over the weekend on a cell phone. It's suppose to be manning meadows Monroe MT, but i have a really hard time believing it. You mean he just showed up nobody has a shed from him years past, I mean come on a bull like that would have to be old enough to leave a shed or two over the years. It's a hoax to me unless proved otherwise. There is suppose to be 10 min of video of him and 30-40 photos why am i seeing same photo over and over again?
 
Don't worry - July starts tomorrow. I am sure somebody has already been awarded t $10K finder's fee. Governors tag. He will be on the ground before the month is out.

Ah, I forgot about the Gov. tag. I do know that a bull can grow upwards of 90" or more of new growth in a year thus his last sheds may be unrecognizable.

Rick.....I was hoping that everyone would leave it alone so that My uncle could shoot it on the Muzzy hunt! He is going to be here on Wed and we are going to go look at him. That is unless the 5 thousand 4 wheelers that were up there on Saturday scare him off the mountain.

I knew that this post would be fun. I knew that there would be the "this is a hoax" posts. The sad thing is....I have seen him in Person!!!!!!!!! It is kinda funny and I knew that this would blow up.....I guess I am just a trouble maker!!!!!!!!!hehehehehehehe

For all you "rich hunter" haters out there, the Governors tag holder can NOT hunt until September 1, 2008. Archers start August 16th, 2008. You people crack me up with all your hate and envy. Get a grip!

This is an aweosme bull...the picture comes from video that the Tines up boys shot about a week or so ago. They've watched him all summer. The video is amazing. This giant is less than 75 yards and gives them every angle of his impressive antlers. Not to mention it is in HD. The thing thats unbelievable is how much this bull has grown from the last two years that they've videoed him. Hopefully he makes it another year, unfortunatlly i'm pretty sure that won't happen. He is truely an amazing animal.
 
We need to talk everyone into "not" killing this bull and then seeing what he would look like next year....
Would that be awesome? I'm sure if we voted the count would be 200,000 for this idea, and only the 100 guys or so who have tags against it. But can you imagine what that thing would look like in another year?
Maybe we can all get together and push him down country for PRO?

I think it is incredibly sad what B.S. goes on when an animal like this is spotted. It is an awesome animal and I plan on making it down to look for him myself a time or two. I dont think he stands a snowballs chance in hell of making it till next year or even the early rifle, but I hope the guy or gal that gets him is a DIY archer. What a story they would be telling. Good Luck archers.
 
I don't know that it's hate, but I do know an awfully lot of "great and professional" hunters are not all that good at the skills required of someone who has to hunt on a budget (others are, but they still have huge advantages and then take bows for their "skills"). I, too, hope it's a regular guy (or girl) on a DIY hunt.

What a beautiful animal.

I hope this bull provides the fuel necessary to cause the explosion that will start the downfall of the unethical guiding practices that are taking over this state. I have little doubt that there are already full time baby sitters of this bull keeping an eye on him and tracking his whereabouts until that wondrous opening morning when the "hunter" and his dozen men will arrive to kill the thing. Maybe several guides and their dozens will all have the same idea and it will turn into a brave heart type battle.

Boy, I would love to see a normal guy tag that bull. That would be awesome.
 
What amazes me is that every year for the past 6-8 years a new Utah bull comes along that we are all in awe over, then the following year THAT one gets blown away by yet another bigger giant!!

We are now in the 500" club with this bad boy and on public land....SICK!! :7

Seems to me by the way Utah handles their poachers that someone could logically go shoot their OIL bull(seen here), lose their hunting rights and then go buy the horns at the year end sale and be done with the sickness we call hunting:) Boy I sure hope that bull drinks some Hemlock Tea before season and dies of a good natural death. he is a looker, love to see him on the hoof in person! There is potential for some bad chit to go down on the mountain over a one helluva bull! sad deal. keep us posted.
 
Some brave soul should go up there and tranqualize that bull and cut his horns off!:D
 
You know what the worst thing is.

It has totally ruined this unit for any scouting for others with a tag.

I think that there are soooo many people that know where he is
and they are going to be up trying to get a look.

I could not believe how many people were up there this last weekend
and I am sure it will be TERRIBLE on this holiday weekend.

I hope it they run this bull into hiding quick so it doesnt ruin the hunt for all other hunters.

I was told that bull is in Northern Utah, near my
unlces, cousins, polygamist husbands FLDS compound
just west of Logan... They'll get him first..
 
Man, I knew I should have put my wife in for that unit! I surely hope a Bowhunter gets him. Could you beleive a 500 inch P&Y world record? What a Giant bull! I hope everyone will keep their heads while chasing this bull. No wonder the Conservation tag went so high for that unit. Good luck boys!
 
The poor bugger isn't going to get a moments peace until he is dead. You know, you always looked forward to the season to see what some guy could come up with somewhere, it was always a surprise. Now its just who and when, you already know the story and bull.

I, for one, will thank you. I like seeing the huge animal. I'm in Idaho and can't hunt for him and don't know where he is. I've long since quit being even a little impressed by guides and their hunters' harvests, so this probably the only time I'll see this animal.

Besides, if you tell everyone, it rather dilutes the advantage of the guys with big bucks. Good for you.

We could post signs on roads saying they are closed, harass everyone else, etc.
Then hundreds of us could push it right past him.

According to a different thread, there's a post by Mr. Elk Nuts advising he has a Monroe archery tag. Looks like you guys need to load up yer cameras and head to Monroe. Once there, just look for the pack of outfitters trying to rope off the bull and you'll be there...

With all of the *potential* controversy that will no doubt surround the harvest of this bad boy, the best PR that Doyle might be able to get out of it all is to just film the thing through the remainder of its life, capturing everything including the harvest IF he can, and then offer $$ for the video (rights) from others who also capture any of the hunt/hunter on video - and take it from there.

Naw, that can't happen. considering how he plays, who can even guess what the ante will be?

Oh, I'm almost certain that last year's Gov tag holder - guy from Texas - was going after that very animal - on more than ONE trip last year - and NOT being guided by anyone wearing Mossback. ;)
 
See what happens when a guy takes a little time off for baseball? He comes back for a quick peek, and instantly has the rest of his summer baseball season ruined! LOL! Now, I'm probably going to get killed by a foul ball in the 3rd base box 'cause I'll be daydreaming about this elk porn instead of watching my college guys hit and dodging their foul balls!

When I looked at the first pictures, I was thinking "I sure hope that bull is on the unit my tag is good for." I guess maybe it is! BUT, who knows who'll get a crack at that bull, and if he'll be taken by a non-guided DIY hunter like myself, or by a "team" of hunters, guides, cooks, concubines and baby sitters that has a larger roster than my baseball teams? I've been doing a lot of walking and some shooting, not as much as I'd like but plenty still. I guess maybe it's time to cut back on the baseball schedule and spend even more time getting ready for this great elk hunt. I'll probably get there the last week of August and hunt till I'm done or the season ends. After a big tournament this weekend, I might have to take a step back and let some of my coaches take over, while I prepare for a little elk hunt.

That S.O.B. will be so neurotic by the time season opens that he'll be in mexico...I'm curious to see the outcome if the outfitters are that cutthroat....Makes you really wonder what is in store for western hunting as we know it.. I hope Idaho stays with their manage for oppurtunity not trophy class mindset...Looks like they'll be building runways for the doctors to land their jets on so they can hunt these states!
 
if I had that tag I would find out where he was hanging out (wouldn't be hard as I guess there is a few Mossback haters out there) and take an extra week of vacation to scout him out and I would sleep with him the night before the opener if it meant sleeping on hard ground without a tent, or not sleeping at all. I would have my watch alarm go off at shooting time and be pullin the trigger on the second beep.. LOL
 
That is great that my last post got zapped! Thanks browtine or whoever else is in kahoots with the guide I was referring to in my post. I did not mention names or put any profanity. What gives you guys the right to zap my posts when it does not match your opinions certain topics...Or maybe it was because I said the bull was on Monroe Mountain (which everyone already knows). In either case I did not say anything that against the rules on MonsterMuleys. Thanks for letting us express our opinions...Of course, this will probably get zapped as well....

Berrysblaster-I guess this is like the NBA. If you are a veteran and superstar you get away with more. :)

clifhunter- the readers digest version with the risk of getting zapped is this: We need to get a crew together to help the local hunters kill this bull instead of the guide with the 50 helpers that cover every ridge with radios. We want to give the average joe a chance and not the big money that flys in pulls the trigger and leaves.
