new utah hunt dates

LAST EDITED ON Jul-03-08 AT 03:57PM (MST)[p]i remember when the opening day of the general season elk hunt started on a wendsday.there seamed to be less hunters, less partiers, and more elk. i rescently took the dwr poll survey on the mule deer forum and they are trying to come up with all kinds of answers. but i believe if they changed the opener to a weekday it would split up some of the pressure for deer and elk.then again that was the good old days what do you think

i personaly liked it better when the opening of the elk was on a wendsday probably would help with deer as well

As far as I know the Muzzy deer season starts on a Wednesday! I also like the starts dates being on Wednesday. Really never noticed less pressure. Where I hunt there is a ton of hunters on Wednesday and by Saturaday there is only a few.
