I now have 10 bonus points as a non-resident. I would appreciate your input as to what Premium Limited Entry hunt you think will be the best for 2005 in Utah. The Henry Mountains and the Paunsaugunt is what I have put in for in the past. I think I have a very good chance of drawing a tag this year. I hunt with Rifle or muzzleloader.
Your comments please.
THANKS

Plus, you would not be in the top pool anyway. Your draw odds get better with more points, but are still low. The Pansagunt muzzleloader does have a tag allocated to the top pool, and better draw odds than the Henry's.

I was in your shoes last january and was trying to decide what to do, sitting with nine points I decided to put in for the book cliffs tag and I drew it.
I drove 21 hours to the area, talked to a fellow at a local store that had drawn the same tag after trying nine years also.
He gave me a few pointers on some places to start looking, the first morning was very cold and the deer had moved, so around 10:00 am the first morning we move camp north about 25 miles, boy did we find the deer, that afternoon I seen 89 deer but no big bucks.
The next morning I passed up three big mature bucks, one 5x6 about 28", one 4x5 about 28" and one perfect 4x4 that i guessed a 180 buck, I seen some real nice bucks that day and had a hard time not shooting one of them, but my son kept telling me to hold out.
The next morning I shot a buck that grosses 194 4/8 and it looks like its going to net 191 4/8.
The book cliffs is the place for me, I hope I draw it again someday if I live long enough. If you do put in for it and draw I will help you any way I can.

good Luck
