LAST EDITED ON Jul-13-08 AT 08:38PM (MST)[p]I have been down twice for my upcoming archery hunt. I have seen plenty of good bulls in the areas I have researched. Anyone that has hunted early knows that there is not much talking going on until the end of the hunt. Well this year is a few days shorter. I am use to hunting during the pre-rut in the Uintas.I plan on stalking in on Bulls that are bedded or on there way to there bedding areas.
The areas that I have been in are not very good archery areas. Especially if you plan on stalking.
Shoot me a PM if you have any good info. On areas that are not so thick with new growth from the burn.
Thanks.

Those burns with the new growth are like elk magnets! Hunting away from them would be like trying to hunt where the elk AREN'T! JMHO, but if I were you, I'd stick to hunting where the elk are! (Hope you caught the sarcasm!)

Good luck on your hunt!
