Bugling/Cow Calling Suggestions

So I finally drew an Archery Elk tag. This is my first archery hunt, have never killed an elk and really want to make the most of this hunt! Any suggestions on bugling/cow calling? I am feeling confident on my shooting out to 40-50 yards, but need to get one in that close to make it happen. I drew 5B in NM and have heard from a few people that the rut doesn't even start until mid Sept. Any calling tips greatly appreciated!

Don't expect them to come running to you like in the videos.

When they call, you go to them.

Don't get too call crazy, as you'll give away your location.

In my experience, the calling works best when you're in close, and setup...ready for a shot. It also works best to call in pairs, with a shooter about 50 yards closer than the primary caller (kind of like turkey hunting).

Decoys work great too, with the same setup, the decoy about 50 yards or so behind the shooter.
