I am pretty sure I am right... But if I switch from elk to deer this year, I won't lose my elk points. Right? Reason I ask is because I have 10 elk points built up, and want to be extra sure I don't lose them.

If your in Utah,,no you wont lose your elk points,you just wont get
an elk point if you go with deer this year

If you are in UT, It would be very foolish to switch to deer at this point. Stick with the elk.

Maybe stifler wants to build up his deer points so that in, say, 10 years he can hunt LE elk one year and LE deer the next? Either way, when you're so close to an elk tag, why stop?

Yes, apply for elk until you draw. Then switch if you want.
