Anybody familliar with the little mountain range SE of Mountain View, Wyoming on the way to Flaming Gorge. It's east of Poison Mountain and south of Henry's Fork near Lonetree. It looks like it ought to have some pigs there and we saw a few crossing from the Uinta's during the muzz elk hunt. Public ? Private ? Anyone We're putting in for Wyo. region G and would like the 411 on it.

I could not tell if you wanted info on Reg G or on that particular range.

if it's region K that's great. We arwe looking to put in for either region and we're more familliar with region K evidently. What's the story there ?

IMO it's mostly a migration area although there are local animals. The problem is access, lots of private. Get a BLM ownership map before you make to many plans. Great trophy unit if you could hunt it in November, still worth checking out if you don't already have a honeyhole.

anyone familiar with the "walk-in" areas? do they see a lot of hunter traffic? enough traffic to make the deer move to a different area?

When you leave Mountain View and the road turns South about the time you hit that Bad Land looking area, the moutain in front of you is called Hickey Mountain. Its a nice area but the West side is private. Its a steep road going up and narly when wet. Pretty country, and a few good bucks are seen there each year. From there to the Uintas is a mixture of public private land.
