Who saw Spidey this weekend? I figured that the Gov tag holder would have shot him by now. When is opening day of Archery? I bet he is shot the week prior. Just checking on the poor dead walking SOB.:)
 
I don't think he's been seen in a few days. He's probably moved out because of all the pressure. Archery hunt starts the 16th of August. I hope he does leave, I'd love to see him next year.
 
The Governors tag isn't good until September 1st, so if he gets shot prior to August 16th (archery opener) it will mean he was poached.

Why would you hope that he does leave? That way some roadhunter can run the sevier county special on him and shoot him with grandpa's 30-06 on the archery opener. The only way you would see him next year is on somebody's video with terrible instrumental music blaring in the background.

I'd like to think there is a chance of him eluding the bum rush. Maybe like a 5% chance of escape. problem is there are so many roads up there, but in a way that will make it hard to set on him or put him to bed every night with so many yehoo's running around. Certainly will be entertaining.
 
I agree I hope he gets poked on the archery opener. I hope it is an average joe with some of his buddies. Not somebody who flies in and is shuttled up the hill with his mullet headed guide with cronies in tow. That way I don't have to hear about it every time I walk into sportsmans warehouse and have to see the crappy DVD "legends of the Farm" playing.

I heard one today that there is a hadicaped archer that has a Monroe archery tag that is chasing the bull right now with the help of Doyle and crew. I don't remember what the rules are as far as the extra time a handicap hunter gets to hunt if he gets a tag. Isn't it 30 extra days after the end of the hunt? Anyway I don't know if this rumor is true or not, probly like most of them not true.

Hunters with disabilities who obtain limited entry, management bull elk or general season permits may apply for an extension to their season, provided they meet certain criteria. The extension period for individual limited entry hunts is generally 30 days. The extended dates for general season hunts are listed below.
 
I heard that he dropped his antlers already!!!

I talked to a person today that was looking for this bull the other day and said that there were 42 trucks parked in the area. Old spidey has moved to some hell hole!!!

Sorry to be the one to tell you , but when your Cinderella story kills this bull your still going to see him on somebodys video in Sportsmans, not to mention all the mags. Cindy will sell out to the highest bidder like Gilson did in '03. It will be crappy footage, if any, but you will be happy because??? So in the end Cindy becomes what most of you wannabees call a whore/pimp. Sad story, but it's okay because no professionals were involved until after the kill. I love foreshadowing. So let me get this right. This is the only bull in Utah? The way everyone is talking about this bull you would think it is the only one out there. I bet the Gov tag holder doesn't even hunt this bull. For those of you who have the opportunity to hunt this bull good luck, but from what I have seen coming out of your state the last few years I wouldn't get too worked up about this bull. You guys have some awsome elk and spending this much time worrying about who is going to take this bull seems a little excessive. It will probly be taken by a mountian lion the day before the opener.

I'm fairly certain spidey is a mature enough of a bull that he has been passing on his genes for a couple of seasons.

I personally can't wait to see how big he really is. Best of luck to all that have the Monroe tag. I'm still hoping somebody whacks him on opening day of the archery season.

I'll qualify that too... I would also enjoy seeing the poacher hang by his nards... But it would still be better than seeing Joe Rich get him and act like he did something special... Like he knows "the truth" about elk hunting or something! :0)

I don't really care for the commercialization of hunting either, but that's a bit extreme.

All the hipe about this large bull and the wasted breath and finger typing behide all of your computers. Huw much time have you all wasted reading typing and wishing. By now many of you could have found and animal worthy of your tag. I've read a little talked about it LMAO at some of it wrote about But To be honest I just don't give a rats a** I have my own tags to fill as many of you do. I have found a few I would love take. But sitting her writting about it won't help fill those tags.
I guess theres nothing better to do when it cost 4 bucks a gallon for gas.

The answer to your question is easy. 99.9% of us don't have a dang tag so were not out scouting 24/7. This is as good as it gets for some of us.LOL

Get a life, and while you're at it, go spend your time scouting someplace that YOU have a tag, and quit worrying about a bull in a unit that you don't have a tag for.

This might sound weird to some, since I have that tag, but I too think it would be pretty cool if he lived another year. Everyone with a Monroe tag will want that bull, but it really would be neat if he just disappeared and nobody found him till next summer.

That'd give Poetic Justice a whole new meaning....

Actually, I've exchanged messages with a couple people who are serious about doing just what you've suggested. They're over on another website, and some wingnut was actually serious that they should cut his horns off if they could find him and dart him.

I understand that you're joking, but others who've said the same thing have been serious. None of us who are on a hunting trip want it to be interfered with, whether by an animal rights wacko, or some hunter who doesn't want someone else to get an animal like this. My point was, there's only one unit anyone should be focusing on at this point, and that's the unit they hold a tag for.

Hey BomberBlackies, is it a little too early in the morning for you? You posted to the wrong thread. This isn't the political forum. This is suppose to be about Spidey's status. Yeah, the rumors are flying. On another web-site they say Spidey was put down by a disabled hunter yesterday morning. Not sayin' it's true, just spreading the same rumor from another site. I guess we'll see if this one pans out.
