This is a buck I shot on a 2004 Book Cliffs hunt, this was one of the best hunt I have been on in 31 years of hunting, I shot this buck the third day of season after passing on about 20 other bucks the first 2 days of the season, on the 2nd day I passed on three real big bucks, the biggest around 180.
This was a great hunt and I hope to draw again before I die of old age.

Good looking buck, congratulations. Great eye guards to boot! Thanks for posting the photo.

nice one, wh...are you getting him mounted? definitely worth it in my book...thank you for the pic.

Congrats on a sweat buck! It's good to see the Bookcliffs put out some great bucks again. Sounds like you had a dream hunt.

I've had the same guy doing my heads for years and most of our big horn shows in Washington are in february, so he puts in the extra effort to get them done for me so I can get them to the shows.

It was great, when I first got the tag I didn't know if it was good or not, but it looks like I got it the right year.
It was really great passing up big mature bucks until you find the one you want and then get lucky and get the shot and bring him home.

A PM means Personal Message. To find it, when you log in and the next page up is the Main Forum Page.
You will have a small RED flag at the top left edge of Forums. Look over to the right about half way for the words "Inbox mail" click on that and it will open up and show you who has sent you a message. You can answer them right back and it is only between you and them, no other eyes.
Next to your Icon you will see what appears to be two letters, that is your email address if you have it inabled. Next to it is the PM icon and the third icon "figurehead" is the person behind the name.

nice buck....are you gonna try and put that in the Evergreen Show in Monroe? I think that's the third week in Feb.

When is the spokane show, the past couple years I've had things the same weekend, but I need to go this year.

It is 27" wide, gross score is close to 194/48 and net around 1914/8. I'm not a B&C score pro, but this is close.

I don't know where they got there info, I was there three days, had never been there before and passed on three great bucks before I shot this one. Call it blind luck but I think this unit is great.

Actually, the last issue of Trophy Hunter had a picture of a lady with another great buck from the Books. I hunted for 11 days there in 2001 and never saw a buck that good. I think wehunt was in the right place at the time. That buck is about as good as you could hope for there. Congrats on a keeper.

The book Cliffs have come along way since 2001. There are good bucks like that all around there.

Holy Moly! Sweet deer! Thanks for posting the picture. The only bad thing now is that everybody and their dog are going to put in for the Book Cliffs.

can anybody tell me what it means when there is a flame in the box next to the posting ?

LAST EDITED ON May-16-05 AT 05:38PM (MST)[p]Thats a DANG NICE tyipical! congrats! looks like he would score high...190 +?

Great buck! I keep hoping to draw this unit. I have been building up the points, last year on the way in from the Northeastern unit we saw a guy with a monster from the book cliffs, this has to be the best, if not one of the best units in the state right now. Great buck, and best of luck in seasons to come.... Hopefully next year I can post one of these pics with a monster from that area.
