Utah S Diamond Mtn Archery Elk

Just got the call today that I am next in line for this tag.

I am weighing the pros/cons since I have a decent Wyo tag this year already. But hey, at least they are kinda close together.

A buddy went last year and killed a 5 pt (his first bow kill) and liked what he saw. Have talked (very briefly) with a couple of guys in that area.

I think I will have a place to stay. Probably will have my horses with me.

Any of you guys want to help me make this decision? (Yah I'm gonna take it) Just looking for some help if it's out there.

I drew the rifle tag afew years ago ,my uncle and cousin drew the year before i did. There are some good bulls on the unit there is alot of privite ground to . Have you ever hunted diamond before?

Yah I had to think it over for like...uhm...a minute.

No seriously with the Wyo tag and a decent tag in E. OR I was considering hanging on to my points. With a 5 year wait and the trend of things it could be 15 years before I get back to Utah again...

But what the heck. I could get hit by a truck in October (after elk season of course)

I have some pretty decent info on the unit and a base game plan worked out.

Would always be good to hear more feedback if anyone wants to toss a crumb.

I hope to post pics of Wyo and Utah kills. BTW. I'm not all that picky.
