Wasatch LE

I've bid on a few Wasatch tags over the last few years but they always sell out of my range, this year I drew one. I immediatly called a friend that has hunted the unit the last 3 years and taken nice bulls for himself and his relitives. We made plans to scout and inventory some of the great bulls in this unit before and during the archery hunt with hopes of taking one on the rifle hunt or if needed the muzzel loader hunt. My friends time situation has changed and he can't find time to scout and now will only commit to a few days on the rifle hunt. This may well be the hunt of a lifetime and I sure don't want to blow it, any recomendations on some areas to start scouting for a nice bull? or for a good guide that has spent some years in the area or may have people scouting the area already? thanks for your help

Good gawd elkrazy, just don't read the thread titled "judging other people", or you may regret making this post!! Lol

just read it slam, its to bad there isn't a cure for ignorance, I attend several big game banquets each year and have done so for many years. I know how the money is spent that is raised on these outragous tag auctions. I would buy a LE tag every year if I had the resources, but I don't so i will keep bidding hoping to steal one. until someday when the kids are out of college then who knows?

Im no guide but I've hunted the wasatch for years in an area with not alot of pressure, and always get into some good bulls, too bad it's all spike only, or I'd tag out every year. I know what you mean about this being a major opportunity. PM me if your interested and we can talk.

We saw some good bulls last weekend. The wierdest thing was we didn't see anyone around on ATV's or hiking...The largest bull we saw would be around 370-375.

Elkrazy- Just came across your post. If you don't already have a guide in place, I'd like to help you out. Last year we killed a 371 6X7 on the wasatch, he wasn't the biggest we were hunting. I live close to the area we hunted all these big bulls. I can email you picture proof if you would like. PM me and we can chat.. Thanks, AR
