I'm still waiting on my info from Colorado. Does anyone have info on these units. I don't really understand the draw system in Colorado because I haven't looked at the proclamation yet. What are the odds for drawing an out of state tag for these units for the late hunt in November? I am really thinking of doing a muzz hunt in Sept. Can't decide what would be best. What are my odds for drawing that tag? Is the late hunt in this area good if I can only hunt public lands? If the weather has turned bad have the deer moved out of the Forest Service area's and onto private lands? Can I put in for both hunts, for example, put in for the late rifle hunt as first choice and the muzz hunt for second choice? Plus, I have read a few posts where you guys are talking about only getting a preference point if you don't draw your first choice? How does that work over there in Colorado? Thanks for any info, I promise I won't ask any more dumb questions once I get my info from CDOW.

Your best bet would be a timberline muzzleloading hunt. Takes a lot of effort, but better chance of a good buck than low country muzzleloading hunt IMO. Deerking is the man who knows where the high country bucks are. Contact me for more info if you are interested, or find one of his posts and click on his website.
