Have any of you hunted the general muzzleloader buck season on any of these properties in the northern region? If so which one and how was the whole experience?
I have yet to hunt in Utah and I'm just curious. Thanks.

CWMU's don't have a 'general muzzleloader season'. Most of the CWMU's have season dates of Sept 1st--October 31st or September 10th---November 10th. These are any weapon hunts.

Thanks Blandingboy,
Let me ask you this, If I had a muzz tag would I be able to contact one of these managers and buy in access for a good hunt? Assuming, I hunted the dates in that season? and the CWMU was in the northern area?
All I was really interested to know is if anyone had done this and if they would be willing to share their story or recommend a particular CWMU. Sorry for the confusion.

No--

CWMUs are similar to limited entry areas in UT and other states. In order to hunt a CWMU you must have a permit valid for that CWMU and the only way to get these tags assuming you are a non resident is to buy them from the operator listed in the proclamation.

Maybe I'm missing something here...as a non-resident that's exactly what I'm talking about.
I was just looking for a referral because there is number of CWMU's in the proclamation and some CWMU's have to be better than others, but nevermind I'll just talk to the managers.

Fairchase, I just noticed your question. First you need to understand that you cannot hunt on a cwmu with a general muzzleloader tag, no matter what region you have. ie northern, southern, or otherwise. CWMU tags can only be drawn by Utah residents. Non residents must purchase CWMU tags from an operator of a cwmu, and they normally run around $6,000-$12,000 for the best ones.
The point is that you can't just buy permission to hunt on a cwmu with your muzzleloader tag.
For some of the best CWMU hunts I would call Kim Bonnett with bucks and bulls outfitters, or deseret land and livestock.
Just my two cents
