Do you think that with the over the counter tags in this unit it will move some of the elk towards the southern edge of the unit?

they should already be in the southern part of the unit. they don't need pressure to move to higher ground necessarily.

I know they are in the southern part of the unit already. But with all the hunting going on (this whole month, and right up until the day before the archery season), it seems that some of the elk that hang out in the northern part of the unit will get tired of all the hunting pressure and move. I don't know, I was just thinking about it. I have a tag, and this year it is different in this unit, because there is a hunt going on and will be for six more weeks. Just wondering what you guys thought.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-08-08 AT 09:24AM (MST)[p]I don't think they'll move south. I wouldn't be surprised though if we start to see elk in the strangest places cause of this hunt. People are really pushing them everywhere.
