There is also a file upload link when you post a message. It should appear right above where you are typing. That might help.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-16-05 AT 12:22PM (MST)[p]Dandy buck, how wide was he.Did ya get him scored.
Ill be a callin on you and fletch if I ever draw that unit.

My brother and I got partnership tags for the desert A in 2000. It was alot of fun...while my buck wasn't as nice as the one pictured my brothers was a 26 inch main frame with a cheater that made it 30 inches outside. Its a great area to hunt.

Fletch, i remember you talking about that unit, have you been out there looking for any sheds.

My dads buck is 29 inches wide and it was the widest buck we saw out in the desert.Im not sure exactly what it scores but i think its around 165-170ish. For alot of the mornings it was really foggy and we even walked in a couple circles which made it tough hunting. From my kowledge i think this was one of the wider bucks taken this year. We saw a ton of deer, more than a hundred bucks most of those being four points. We walked out there a lot for twelve days of hunting and some scouting before the season opened and only found one four point shed and a couple of little forkies. How have you guys done shed hunting out in the desert? I would sure like to see some other photos from the desert unit so if you have any please post.

Hey Fletch whats you name and were do you live in moses and where do you work at. I was just wondering if i have seen you around before. I probably have because moses hole isnt the biggest place.

It gets hit REALLY hard by horseback. Groups of folks go out there everyday and ride, from before they drop until after they drop. They also tend to hold onto them a little longer there. Then it is so immense. For as much hiking as I have done, I haven't been productive at all. There are some stinkin' dandies out there though.

crab creek hunter: I sent you a PM I think bone addict has my pictures on file of our hunt...I know about the fog out there it rolled in on our first day of hunting and about froze my ears off. In all the miles Ive walked out there I have found 3 sheds, the horse back guys hit it hard like doug said...im thinking somewhere out there there must be a gold mine that nobody has found...maybe in the russian olive who knows. Im generally walleye fishing during the shed season.

here is the link to my brothers desert A buck...I dont know if this works so bear with me!
