I am looking for a good day pack strong eneough to pack out an elk quarter breithable durable hydration pouch but quet in the woods any one have any sugestions
Badlands 2200. I have helped pack barbary sheeps with it. Have yet to use it on an elk, but will in about 2 weeks. I have loaded my pack quite a bit with items....hauled out a double bull blind for a friend - after it was mauled by a bear...great pack.
Badlands 2200...I have packed out hind quarters of elk with no problems. The pack has a place for a hydration pouch and lots of room for your stuff. Best pack on the market.
i believe these are the best packs on the market and the best warranty for sure! the prices are better than comparible packs as well. id recommed checking them out and making your own choice. www.blacks-creek.com
LAST EDITED ON Aug-18-08 AT 04:24PM (MST)[p]I just went through the same as you looking for a high quality day pack that could pack out an elk quarter and then some.
I looked at the Badlands. It is a good product but was not for me. I also took a good look at the Eberlestock X2 and Blue Widow. I almost bought the Mystery Ranch Crew Cab with NICE FRAME.
In the end I went with a Kifaru Express and Cargo Chair. Sticker shock is just starting to wear off, however there is no doubt that I have a pack that is second to none.
