LAST EDITED ON Feb-22-05 AT 04:55PM (MST)[p]OK, so I'm sitting here in one of those lackadaisacle winter time moods. Ok maybe depression is a better way of putting it! ;) Let's see some Velvet in an attempt to cheer things up a bit... Don't be shy!

I'll start off

'february blues', my arse....i'm out every day finding 'hard-bone', and waiting for it to drop...what could be better? we don't live forever, "get out there"....i'll hopefully posts some pics soon, but they won't be 'velvet'...no offense O....

Heck my buddy just found some velvet yesterday. Weirdest shed I've ever seen, a little spiker with a couple of extras in full velvet. No real base to it and no pedicle. Almost like little bubbles on the underside. Saw some pics on the shed forum of Cactus Buck sheds and that is what it looks like. Weird all I can say. I'll have to get some pics of it.

OSOK,
Get out and look for sheds. That will cure your Feb Blues. :)
Here's some early velvet for ya.

GO ON A HOG HUNT, AND SHED HUNT AT THE SAME TIME. GET TIRED, THEN SIT DOWN AND CALL YOTES. I WASTE ALOT OF DAYS DOING THIS. ... YD.

Trent:

Nothing huge, but here's a few "velvets" I decided to shoot with a camera rather than my bow last year in Arizona.

Trent,

Thanks for the post and thanks to all for the pics. February is a good month for me. I'm optimisitic that this will finally be my year to get a sheep license, after 30 years of waiting. And I'm all jazzed up about hte mule deer licenses that I hope I'll draw for fall. And finally, it a pretty good time to go out and start looking for sheds and shot a few coyotes.

Holly motha! I'm guessing that will help Trent's condition. i know it helped mine! The back forks on that thing are gargan... gggargan... gargant... their freakin' HUGE! Awesome picture DeerKing and thanks for posting it up!

WOW!

Leave it to Jeff... Ok, so maybe things aren't quite as bad as I originally led them on to be! :)

I could barely get outta bed this morning though. Better give me another shot! ;)

Nothing prettier than a big ol' Velvet Mulie in my opinion!!!

I was actually doing fine in the "blues" department up until NOW. Seeing all that velvet and remembering it's only February has put me in a downward spiral!:) Quit it!!!!!

Not the greatest quality pic.'s, had to take them off some hi8 footage. Some nice velvet none the less! I think these were taken middle of july.:)
