this years rut?

whats the rut going to be like this year ? Last year was a little strange. some areas never really seem to fire up . Is this year starting good or weak. I have heard that deer have been runnig hard horn now for a couple weeks in some locations , a little early. maybe early rut this year , what about elk?

LAST EDITED ON Sep-02-08 AT 04:09PM (MST)[p]The memo I recieved from the high council said the rut was only going to happen between noon on Wednesday the 24th and sundown onthe 26th. I have planned my hunt accordingly and am patiently waiting for a monster bull to run into my bullet.

Oh this prediction is only good for areas north of the New Mexico, and south of Colorado.
