Rokon?

Anybody used one of these things? I've no interst to hunt off one, but they'd be nice for just putting on some mileage to get to where you want to hunt. A lot of the country I hunt is open to two-wheeled vehicles on the trails, which obviously kills the quad idea, but the country is just way to big to be trying to foot hunt it - it takes several hours to get back in there and then out again.

Those Rokons aren't very pretty, but they sure look like they'd be slick for getting a guy back into some trail systems? Any experiences or comments?

Thanks.

I think there nice but over priced I've had them all, Big wheels Fat cats TW's. Right now I prefer a Yamaha Big Wheel they sit low to the ground I have racks on it, including a gun rack. Russ

I have tried one a few times. Little odd to ride of you are used to "normal" motorcycles. As the other guy mentioned, there are much cheaper alternatives. I have an old Honda Trail 90 with the high/low tranny. It really works slick, maybe can't go all the places a Rokon can, but for $700 to maybe $1000 for a really nice Trail 90 you can really get around. They are a little funny lookin, but they are light, don't use much gas, plus you have lots of aftermarket parts since they are a Honda. Just my .02, I'm sure you will have others that say different.
Good luck on your search.

Rokons will go through some pretty insane places. They pack alot more weight as well vs other trail bikes.

I vote for the trail 90 & 110 or the Big wheel idea. A friend of mine had an older rokon and had big issues with it. They may have resolved all those issues since then but watch out. As for the Honda 90 or 110 I've packed more than my share of mulies and elk on those machines and unless it gets muddy they work great in the mud they're almost useless. Not too much mud out here in AZ. But you can't beat the economy on operation. The big wheels work great as well and are better in the mud. Hope this helps.
