Live Bull Pics Boulder

Just returned from my first bow deer/elk hunt near Boulder. No success but did have a few chances. Finally got into the elk after 5 days and look what I see.

Also got one of him in the wallow

Too bad I only had a spike/cow tag. I did see one a little bigger about 45 minutes before this guy. Not sure how much bigger but the 4ths were around 24-26 inches. Had 4 cows step out into the meadow 10 minutes after this guy. Closest they got was 60 yds. Just out of my comfort zone especially with my heart pounding out of my chest. Funny how a tag in your pocket changes your perspective. For future refereance, how big do you think this guy is.

Great pictures ,you really cant tell the size of the bull because of the profile the picture was taken at but he looks big 360 plus ,from what i can see.

360!! Really!! The other one I saw just before him was even bigger. Wonder what he would have scored. It was really amazing to see. After looking all week and not seeing any elk, then all of a sudden it's like I'm in a Primo's video. Never have seen anything bigger than a spike while hunting, so this was awsome and I felt like it was a reward for all the miles I put in. Even though I didn't fill my tag, that one bull screaming at me from 50 yards made the whole trip.
I believe this is a LE area (Boulder Plateau) and I can provide info if any one has this tag. Hope that's not a no-no but would love to help someone get on these bulls. Email is best [email protected]

I'd say more in the 320-330 range also!

agreed. I would put him at 320. I have a bull that looks just like him on my wall and he goes 318.

You may get 330 out of that bull. Not a slouch for CO but something to be proud of.

The bull walking is 320 or less the bull laying down seems much bigger but hard to tell.

I would say the score is about 310 - not a lot of mass and not a lot of length on the tines period. nice bull but not a toad. Looking for something a lot bigger in a couple of days. good pics and sounds like you had fun. Thanks for the post.
