Wasatch Bucks

I thought that because there is little muley action currently, other than sheds of course, I wanted to see all of the Wasatch bucks that guys have taken over the years. Living in SLC, it's impossible not to stare at the front and notice all of the high country, rugged pockets up there that have held some hogs in the past. The Furrows buck, Colburn's up in Parleys, and all of the toads that have come out of the Timp drainages... the mountains produce. The FMP 360 video was obviously Wasatch, and I loved seeing the all footage of my favorite place to hunt in the state. Let's see what you've got on the wall! Thanks for your patience.

Addict,

What are you talking about? There never have been nor will there ever be big bucks on the Wasatch ;>)

Roger That. Maybe you should ask for BIG BUCKS From the Strip or pansugant... even an indian reservation.

FMP shot there bucks on a private ranch in Texas, and did winter shooting scenes from s studio in Hollywood.

Are you guys serious? Any road lover can drive along Wasatch BLVD, flip through "Utah's Biggest Bucks," or actually ask anyone who has ever hunted the front and they'll inform you of the potential. FMP 360, filmed in TEXAS!? I've been to Texas and must have missed the 9000 ft.+ peaks and snow (Not to mention the fact that Mount Olympus is visible in one of the kill shots). Hell, it may just be a coincidence and I may have overlooked the vast expanses and alpine potential that Texas has to offer to Muley hunters. My bad. One more thing. I've hunted my ass off on the front during the last three years. I wish I had some pics to post. I've never been fortunate enough to kill a deer in there but have blown numerous stalks and missed a couple that I'm sure you "non-believing," geography wizes might have been impressed by. Go hunt private land or luck out every ten years on drawing a premium "strip" or paUnsagaUnt, in the mean time I know where I'll be every Fall.

In response to this post Addict, i will have a calendar out this coming season of deer shot off Utahs Wasatch Front on general, and late season Archery hunts. The deer range from the 140"s to 190"s. I have shot 6 deer personally off the front, this one being the best. .

Addict: I'm with you... I would love to see the big bucks from the Front. Why hasn't anyone posted.... Come on fellas... Pony up.

As far as my stupid comment about showing my your cards... I ment to say is that I am like everyother hunter. I want to see everyone else cards, but don't ask me to show you mine.... I would love to see everyone else buck, where they shot it, how, what season, weapon... but when it comes to where I shot mine... I'd rather not tell....

Funny, irony isn't it...

There is no secret about the Front... yet I think this post will struggle to see photos? But damn it I wish they'd show'em.
In fact, I know the calendar of the wasatch bucks is apparently moving forward and people are contributing photos... So either contact Dustin Pennington or Wasatch Front Bucks, LLC for a calender of 2006.

Trust me about FMP... I think it is as cool as it comes.. I will be the first to buy their next CD and first in line at their next showing at Brewvies. After all, where else can you get good local footage on the Big Screen while chugging a cool one.

Buy the way... if anyone sees this backpack... its missing... Someone wanted it more than I did. Taken from my car. Luckliy I had taken everything out for packing out my bull.

Good thing the Mrs. gave the OK to get a new Badlands 4500. Acutally, Tell the meth lab junkie that stole and pawned it, Thanks.

Sorry Addict...I was definitely messing with you. The Wasatch is no secret. I'm old enough to remember the "glory days" of Utah and the Wasatch front always contributed more than it's fair share.

I've hunted the Wasatch front east of SLC all my life. During the 60s/70s, there was always a buck or two that placed in the top ten of the local "big buck" contests. Very often, I knew the lucky hunter. Unfortunately, my group didn't take pictures so you'll have to take my word for it. Granted, this was rifle hunting but the rugged, forbidding terrain of the Wasatch has always held a few monsters. In spite of the loss of winter range, there are still a few hogs to be found.

Come on! I know that others have pictures/stories to share. No one is giving away any secrets (well, at least not on this forum).
