It's finally spring in Colorado which means antlers have dropped and new ones are sprouting. Here are a few photos taken recently of some sheds, new growth and other stuff....

Jeff great pics as always from you. Those grouse are sure pretty when they are all sexed up. Looks like you have some dandy sheds there too. I will be getting some pics back in a couple of days of some elk sheds I picked up last friday. I know I said I dont usually find many but did manage to pick some up that day.

Ha ha! Very funny. Great pictures, thanks for posting. Looks like some good finds - that's a nice matching pair. For that underwater skull - is that an antler base coming out at a weird angle or just some debris on it? Great photo of the grouse as well.

It's nice to see some new antlers forming. I actually found some spring growth as well......

All right the bucks are back in town!
DK, Those are some good quality pictures. From what I've been seeing I thought only the does made it through the winter. Hopefully see some bucks this weekend.
 
Jeff, nice grouse pics. I love the birds. Have ya found the sheds to my Mulie and elk up there yet?? Let me know...

You're putting the Fuzzy to great use already! Really nice muley sheds, and that's one sweet 5-pt elk. Now, about that skull in the stream --- kinda makes you wonder when guys say they drink from any high mountain water source they find, doncha think?

Your pictures are always a treat for the eyes thanks for sharing them. Can't wait to see what you post in another 5-6 weeks after some of them bucks grow out. Spring in Colorado..... booooo :)

Thanks for the pics DK! Man, just love this time of year, with the smell in the woods, critters waken' up, new growth on old bucks....felt like I was there with ya.
 
Ditto on the pics being great.As to the odd pedicle on the Elk Skull,I have a matching skull with 5x5 antlers attached from a bull I killed in muzzle loader season in New Mexico a few years back.I did a European mount with it to better show off the oddity.He scores at 300 but the configuration makes for interesting conversation.Thanks for the nice pics.
