Montana man convicted in Utah poaching case

I hope they make it higher. Utah holds a lot of trophy bucks and one of the major ways to protect them from poaching is too make this kind of fine hurt like hell. A little jail time wouldn't hurt a thing either.

Night Vision goggles? Getting pretty sneaky.

Yelum, the case agent on that one is a good friend. He told me how this kid and his brother had tried to kill the buck during archery season. The whole story includes how they continued to hunt during the extended season, even though the area is nowhere near the Front. The kid finally got frustrated and pulled out the 7mm. Wardens caught him on his wheeler coming out of the canyon with the buck, the gun, and his MONTANA antelope tag on the deer. Booked the kid on a felony.

The kid called the warden repeatedly from jail. All he cared about was having a picture of him with the rack. Seriously twisted.
