I'm having a hard time with this one but I will guess 170 2/8.

Question on gross score and inside spread credit. Are you still limited to the longest main beam or can you use the actual inside spread even if exceeds the longest antler, when calculating the gross score?

I am not a pro but I would say that buck would prob go 183 or somewhere around there.
 
Never really thought of that Horniac, but (hint) in this case it won't matter.
But in future, the inside spread cannot exceed the longer main beam.

171 5/8 I can't submit my guess at the link you provided. Pretty deer. We bag MANY of them like that here in NE.
 
I get a good laugh out of the people guessing in the 180's on up. I now see why sooooo many people say they shoot 190 plus mule deer. COME ON PEOPLE!!!!! We shoot deer like this all the time where I am from. Nice deer but far from 180!!
 
He's got the spread and points and main beam length I'm assuming that you're saying this because of the shallow forks. Although I guessed in the low 180's, upon second inspection, I would have to agree with you that this buck does not score that high.
 
Since I can't get the link to work, I'll guess here, too. (If you'll turn his head so I can see his G-4's, I'll fell a bit better next time. Side and front both would help us poor guessers.)

I'll do like DK and say my wife guessed. How about 181??
 
171 6/8" was my guess.

Sneakem, if you're going to play with the big boys you have to say 173 4/8" NOT 173 1/2". Rookies (roll eyes)... :)

The idea is to have fun with the contest...not act like an a$$ and throw stones...
 
dancasey2 - Many of them like that in NE? I'm ready to come over and hunt!! This buck is a great buck in my opinion. I'll admit, I thought he scored better than he did just before I put the tape on him.
His mass, width, and split eyeguards make him very special IMO.

Hint to all - He's over 32-1/2 inches wide.

This "Guess The Score" Contest is over! We had 404 guesses submitted---4 guesses that were within 1/8". The buck gross scores 183-6/8. The 4 closest guesses were:

Not sure who would want to hunt on his place when he cant tell a 160 buck from a 185 buck.
 
Well stated about those Nebraska deer. And there aren't many bucks like this one in Nebraska. I've hunted there for over a decade and have only seen a single 180 plus muley taken in that area.

And congrats to OSOK!!!! I'll be through there today of you feel the need to share the wealth.

Oooohh man.....I feel robbed!! :) Coming an 1/8 of an inch from nailing it and loosing....that's tough! Oh well, congrats to the lucky name pulled. Look forward to the next one. :)
