Nine mile anthro

Not as good as it once was, but still able to produce a very nice Bull if you're willing to put in the work. If you have tons of points you may to put in elsewhere.

Lots and Lots of private property. Hard to get permision for.

I think DeadI might be thinking Nine Mile-Range Creek with all the private land. The Nine Mile-Anthro has some tribal land and the low country has some private, but most of the elk country is public. That being said, I would strongly caution anyone thinking of applying. There are a few good bulls that come off the Anthro, but it is a really tough hunt. Unless you have a sentimental connection to the area or already really know it really well, I think there are better units to be drawn. I know if I had the elk points I would use them somewhere else.

I drew it several years ago and it is a tough hunt. It did take a while to locate where the elk were but there are some great bulls to be had out there. The only problem is there are tons of roads and easy access which contributes to the elk looking for tougher places to live. This unit has had poaching problems for several years and the Division could stand to give out more permits for the area if it weren't for the ba$tard poachers.
