Do to unforeseen work responsibilities I need to make a quick change of plans for the spike elk hunt opener this weekend. Because work is moving locations they have made it mandatory that everyone comes into work Saturday to assist in the move. As a results I will not be able to hunt the place I have been scouting all summer long the opening weekend. I have been franticly trying to identify a place that I could go Saturday night and possibly Sunday (if all goes well at work with the move). Anyway the place that I have been looking at trying Sunday is along the north end of the Skyline drive between Garret Springs and highway 6. I have been in this area in the past and have seen elk as I was driving along the Skyline drive. What I am trying to find out is if there are any roads that I could use to access this area or is it all closed to foot traffic only. Anyways any information on the area would be greatly appreciated.
