Help with AZ draw odds...

I tried to get draw odds from last year for 12A and 12B late rifle season from the AZ Game and Fish and they said I had to buy the stat book. No problem, except the stat book will take 4-6 weeks to get here and the deadline is in two weeks. Can anyone tell me what the draw odds were for these two hunts last year for non-residents??? Thanks, Steve

Honestly you have less than a 1% chance to pull a tag. Course that doesn't really mean a lot since it is still luck of the draw. Save your money, the stat book used to cost 75.00, and that was 3 or 4 years ago and those popular hunts are just a pure crapshoot. Your odd's will be better this year with the cap lifted and the fee's having to be paid upfront. Keep the faith and good luck !

The $6 book has 12BW late at 4.2%, 12AE at 2.2%, 12AW at 3.3%, for 2004. I believe the previous years odds are also in the back of the proclamation.

I think the odds will be on a wing and a prayer. With the nonresident cap lifted, will more nonresidents put in? With the requirement for both residents and nonresidents to purchase a license just to apply, will fewer nonresidents apply due to cost? With 1000 early 12A west tags, will there be any bucks left? With less than a 1% chance, does it really matter? Time to pull out the Ouiji board.

Think there is any connection between the increased tags and the cap being lifted? More $$$$? Next year, the prices skyrocket, but the caps may be back, so they will get the $$$ on fewer tags. Lets see if they do not drop them after depleting the bucks this year. It seems strange that they have dropped the tag quota every year for the last few to improve herd quality, but then up them now. Last year they were forced into it after the quotas were set, but there were extra tags too.
