A little help please.

Well I didn't think I would be asking such a cheesey question on here. We had permission to hunt on private property for the open bull elk hunt we had even scouted the whole 4000 acres of the property, but when I went to get the gate key this morning the owner backed out because someone had vandalized some of their equipment. I can't blame him for being upset. Does anyone know of any open bull areas around the Kamas area that I can get in to some elk? Any help would be great...I just want to try and salvage some hunting fun with my family for the next eight days.

You might try calling the ranger station up in kamas to get a map of atv trails in the area. The only reason I say atv trails is because there is land that looks private but the gate is not locked so the public can access the land behind the private land owners. Dont forget to respect private land and stay on the trails. I tried to hunt deer up by smithmorehouse this year and saw lots of elk tracks but no elk. Maybe with the cold weather that is coming you will have better luck than we did. Good luck on your hunt.
