Fantastic bull, congratulations! Keep in mind, you're far from the only guy who's had a tough elk hunt this year, it's been a strange year for many.

SWEET BULL! I love the whale tail on the left beam, bring lots of character to a very big Bull. Nice job.

No tag soup on your hunt what a great bull sounds like a dutton hunt to me tough comes along with that unit glad you had success and put one down that's big enough for your wall.
Good job.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-04-08 AT 10:48AM (MST)[p]How did the Whale Tail switch from the left beam in the first two pictures to the right beam in the third?

Pea

btw, Beautiful Bull!

YOur right, whats up with the pictures. the first 2 pictures of the bull have a small left side, the front view (3 picture) is totally different, any explanations.

The 3rd picture mirrored on me when I flipped it horizontal... But yeah he broke his back right beam yearly in the year so it did grow weird.

Looks like a mistake on the negative of print, picture printed from the wrong side would be my guess. Seen that happen a lot over the years and even when having the pictures made from negatives and the person doing the job, viewed the wrong side.

muzzlelovr,

Nice Bull, Dutton is a hard hunt but well worth the time spent.
Congrates.

There's room for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed taters and gravy.

Awesome bull! Sucks he broke. A good taxi can fix that if you want--or keep it for character. Great job in a tough year.

what kind of blood trail did it leave? Just wondering because i may muzz hunt one next year and I hear a lot of stories about no or little blood trails from Muzz bulls.
Nice bull!

First shot was at 210 yards, right behind the shoulder. He bled for about 100 yards then stopped. We ended up finding him the following morning bedded under some trees and put 5 more, before it did the job. They are tuff animals, they won't go down without a fight. 50 caliber, 100 grains pyrodex, 245 grain Barnes spitfire.
