Arizona Archery Elk

After 10 years of appling I finally drew an Arizona Archery elk tag. The rut was very slow and finally on the 7th day I called this bull in to 20 yards. He's a straight 7X7.

Someone asked earlier..... Here is my gutting method when you forget your knife at camp. One Magnus SS did the job just fine.

After gutting him out I hoofed it back out and picked up my knife and pack frame to finish the job.

Congrats on a great bull! I did the ole broadhead gut job once myself! I used a thunderhead 125 at the time! Did a great job! I love the long main beams on your bull! Very nice!

Great job Bryce!
Forgetting your knife and having to do the "broadhead" method will be one of those little things that will make this bull a great memory. Seems like we always overlook the little simple things.. (knives) LOL.....
