Montana bucks

These are some bucks taken from 03-04 season,
no monsters but just some nice deer. Thought you might
like to look at them.

Nice Bucks!

It must be an illusion because of the angles that pictures are taken, but it always seems like the muzzle of the gun is pointed right at the guy in the picture.

Anyone else ever notice that?

My buddy and i drew Montana general deer this year. We've never hunted there but my buddies son is going to school in Bozeman and hunted a little around there last year. He still does'nt know the country very well. Do you have any advice for first timers in Montana?? General areas,time of season, should we be there for opening day or wait to try to catch the rut?? We'll have about 2 weeks to hunt. Oh and we would like to concentrate on muleys although i don't think i would pass up a real good whitetail. Thanks for any advice you can offer!!

Your son goes to MSU-Bozeman great choice, That is were I graduated college from. As far as the hunting goes there are a few good places, but most of them are on private land. I would definately go during the rut. The first few weeks of the season has a ton of hunters out. As far as hunting goes I never did much over there because of the high numbers of hunters. If you can get out away from the hunters the hunting is pretty good over in that area I have been told. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
