National Elk Refuge - Youth Hunt Help

My 16 year old son has drawn a first week (This Saturday) permission slip - either sex to hunt the refuge. Our problem is that while we live in Sheridan, WY. we've never been to or hunted the refuge. We need help in knowing what to do and where to go. First, do you just show up and go hunting, or is there an informational meeting/website to go to? Also, any suggestions on how and where to hunt would also be helpful. My son is very excited to be able to go on this hunt and while I've got a strong back and can help him with a pack out, I'm afraid I'm not much help with any information. We sure would appreciate any help and/or ideas you might share with us.
