Hi fellow MM'ers- as some of you may know, I have a 20-year-old daughter who is a biology major and a walk on softball player at UCLA. Her name is Stevie Wisz and when she was two years old, she was diagnosed with aortic stenosis, a heart valve problem. She had her first open heart surgery at the age of 9, had a pacemaker installed at 11 and her second open heart surgery at the age of 15. At 15, she had her aortic valve replaced but that valve is not lasting as long as the doctors had hoped. She will need to have another open-heart surgery at UCLA this coming summer. With college tuition, medical bills and just regular life, finances get tough. My wife thought it would be a good idea to start a home business to help pay for Stevie's upcoming surgery. My wife, Melissa, loves scented candles so she thought it would be fitting to get involved with selling Gold Canyon candles. Have you ever walked into a house that smells like freshly baked apple pie or banana nut bread? Gold Canyon has over 100 different sense that you can choose from. My wife can burn the same candle for 4 to 5 hours a day for a month. These candles burn for roughly 200 hours.
My wife and I thought this would be a good fundraiser for Stevie's surgery. If you or your wife buys scented candles anyway, why not help support a family who truly needs it at the moment? If your wife likes scented candles, please have her visit this website to purchase them. Candles also make god gifts. This is a website through Gold Canyon that is directly linked to my wife and me. We get credit for any items sold on this site. If you have any questions whatsoever, you can always contact me at (805) 720-0604 or [email protected].

Whether you find anything you like from Gold Canyon or not, please keep this girl in your prayers. The Wisz family thanks you.

I don't want to answer for him, but I'd have to assume he isn't doing gonfundme because he isn't asking for free cash. He's asking us to purchase a product that they sell.

He's asking us to patronize their place of business so they can generate more income.

I hope I don't come across like an ass, but I love his approach to it. Not real fond of the go fun me accounts that just want free coin.

You nailed it D! Not asking for handouts but if we can provide a product that you buy anyway, well, we'd appreciate the support. :)

soj...I appreciate the reply and the suggestion. Take care.

Thanks Guys,
Steve

I just showed my Wife what you wrote and she has opened the website. Now I hear her reading aloud to herself the scents. If my Home smells like Maple Syrup Pancakes due to Candles, I'll order a Western Bacon Omelette Candle just to offset her candles.

She works with my Daughter at WWW.LLNL.GOV and will bring your website to many others there.

Send me a PM and I'll get my Wife's contact information to you/your Wife.

Jagerdad :)

PS: I have watched Posts of your Daughter and You and Your Wife did a wonderful Job.

Awesome, Bob! Thanks so much. I hope your wife enjoys what she got. Did you have any preferences?

Jager- LOL...its funny what kind of scents they can come up with. They've got a sugar cookie one that makes you want to eat it. I really appreciate you and your wife putting it out there. I'll pm you in a few. You are good people no matter what eel says about you. :) J/k

Nah scented candles aren't my thing but she loves them. I don't know what she picked I just payed for it. That's why I asked about a fund page.

Same as my Dad...hates anything that smells...unless it's the smell of antelope that sticks on your hands for a week after you fill a tag. LOL. Thanks to you and your wife.

I appreciate that, YD! I never thought I'd like the candles but since they've come up with so many kinds, they are a bit addicting. I got your pm, by the way. Thanks for that. Good luck in the draws.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-24-17 AT 10:26PM (MST)[p]Wisz, I sure hope everything checks out for the best. We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Toni is out of town for another week, as soon as she returns we'll get some candles comings. She orders from somewhere all the time, we'll make sure from now on we order these.
