Hennessey has just released an engine upgrade package specifically for the Mercedes AMG 5.5 liter biturbo V8 engine that will that will take your vehicle from hot to nuclear with just a few additions. The package is called the HPE700 and it increases the engine?s output from the standard 550 HP to an impressive 700 HP - hence the name.

As of right now, this engine powers the CLS63 , E63 , S63 , G63 , GL63 , ML63 , and SL63 AMG . In order to obtain this impressive upgrade, the tuner performed an HPE air induction system modification, HPE engine management calibration, and Dyno tuning. The update will get a 3 Year / 36,000 mile limited warranty. After all these updates, the V8 engine delivers a total of 700 HP at 5200 rpm and a peak torque 800 lbs-ft at 3,800 rpm.

The Demon is a straight line specialized drag car. 80+K for a car that won't turn a corner? No thanks. I'll take a ZL1 and the extra 20+K to bump the HP. And I would have a nice looking car and not an outdated square box. mtmuley

My true Pet-Peeve is folks Tail Gating and never knowing/understanding it all while at Freeway Speeds. My 2nd Pet-Peeve is when I am trying to drive briskly in the #1 Lane and someone is PARKED ( = going slow) simply because their Father told them the #1 lane is Smoother and Trucks never drive on it. California actually passed a new Law about just that but it's never enforced by CHP ( Triple AAA with a Gun ).....Gurrrr

On my Fall Trips to go Hunting, Arizona caters to Truckers and New Mexico isn't much better....Gurrr Yet, Nevada and my Favorite IDAHO... has good Highways. By pure accident of course, in Idaho my Ford twin Turbo'zzz ran me way above 100mph....."I Think"..? Folks stay off of the #1 Lane.....as should be.

On all my trips driving in Europe the Autobahn can be pure Joy but in many places, near Cities, Traffic messes things up and I wish I were back in Idaho or Utah.

Now, don't get me wrong. I really Love Germany and was Born there but speed is never desired in the Alps. My eye's are pressed against the windshield looking at Mountains and Schloss'z (Castles) and so much more. I guess I wondered away from Hot Audi's, Mercedes, and what I rode here: Super Bikes (AKA: Crotch Rockets)..... Only a Bike has speed....until you enter Formula One "Cars".
