Be Careful ! eel

Overton tried something similar to that with Homer at the Helm and Bianca in the middle. Sadly, Bianca suffered a more tragic fate.

Not for me! There's actually a teachable moment in that video. If you get dumped with the rod tethered to the kayak and the shark heads for parts unknown, without a support boat, you die a long slow death. But then that's why I keep my GPS and radio hooked to my life jacket. I just never want to temp fate. The stuff of nightmares.

I'd keep a used Rossi and a single Cor Bon tethered to my neck. That is for when the radio and GPS fail. But that is why I only venture into the ocean with two CAT engines. Also a good reason to have a lit cigarette in such scenarios. Burns through the line pretty quick.

The Rossi also comes in handy if you get sea sick and overton won't take you back to shore.
