I was watching a You Tube video of ... WWW. Metal Detecting WWII Battle Sites and found this page:

http://conservativetribune.com/russian-wwii-battlefield-found/

It seemed Ok because I saw Conservative then Tribune. The article was real then at its end it read scroll down to see Comments.

I understand some feel this is good un-covered History whilst others say its Grave Robbers.

So ( here's why I made this post ) I scroll down & down & down and both Liberal & Conservative Views of "Recently Posted" continues.
One even advertised a Judge supports concealed weapons... or something of such, but I kept scrolling down.

I failed to ever notice the red bar labeled Comments. My point is, news media never cares about the subject. They MUST, SELL NEWS, any form and there shall be; A CUSTOMER.

Its May and no Hunting is going on per say so, maybe take a moment and look at it then make a reply.

By the way, the metal detecting guys is at:

They find very interesting things.

I know, it's crazy the amount of advertising you have to dig through to read an article. It can be confusing, especially for us older gentlemen. :)

You don't need a metal detector to find a relic my Dad left off the coast of Normandy. Dad was a member of the 373rd Engineers. While he was waiting for the invasion, the British "borrowed" him to work on the Mulberry harbor because he was a welder. He was always proud of that.

A short version.

EEL, I Salute your Father. WWII Engineers were handed a very wide array of "Get the job done yesterday" Orders.

However EEL, as you said he was assigned to the British, I had a chuckle. To Weld, he was likely shown and told what they, the British wanted and where.

Have You ever been to England and asked walking/driving directions from a Brit...? They use terms only another Brit may understand and end with; "Straight away ole Chap, Can't Miss it"....and you're standing there with even less of a clue.

With such directions, I would be welding sea shells :)

PS: I had mentioned an article of a Judge supports concealed weapons... or something of such... See below. It's neat.

Judge Rules in Favor of Pro-Gun Activists in Concealed-Carry Case
A Michigan judge ruled in favor of gun rights activists Friday, determining that it was unlawful for certain event venues to ban the lawful carry of firearms.

Does not surprise me. I knew quite a few judges in my area that packed a gun under their robe while in court.
