Hi folks,

My name is Adam, just joined the forum. Didn't quite see where to post an Introduction so I figured this spot was good as any (Moderator please move if incorrect). I joined the forum hoping to do some research and join the discussion on hunting out west.

I am a Florida Boy, so a long ways from Mule Deer Country. Did my first western hunt last year, an Antelope hunt in Wyoming (lusk area) DIY public land. After planning hard to hunt Eastern Montana for my first Mule deer trip this year we were among the unlucky ones who didn't get drawn when Montana sold out of deer and combos...

Anyway, now looks like I am switching gears to plan a trip to hunt an OTC unit in Idaho this October with my Dad. I am very intrigued by Mule Deer, hoping to learn as much as I can and maybe connect this fall. I don't have much to offer in terms of western hunting/knowledge but if any folks have questions about Florida whether it be freshwater/saltwater fishing, osceola turkey hunting, public land, rules/regs etc- just ask...I am among the most knowledgable in the state ;)

Cheers,
Adam

Welcome Adam!
I came to Colorado from Sarasota,Florida back in 1979.I try to go back and visit every year or so. What part of the state are you from?

Welcome Adam. This is definitely the right place to make your intro. Don't worry too much about the mods around here. As long as you aren't posting porn or profanity and stay within the rules, pretty much anything goes.

Great to hear you get the chance to get out west a little and escape that Florida heat and humidity!

HOOK 'EM!

Good luck on your mule deer quest!
