Total eclipse

Does anyone have plans to catch the total eclipse in August. I think it happens on the 21st It will run a 65 mile swath of viewing from Oregon to South Carolina I think. Should be quite a once in a lifetime spectacle. I'm going to try and run the kids up somewhere near Victor Idaho which will be in a prime viewing area.

I work for a Department of Energy Contractor. I work 4 12 hour day shits then have 4 days off. We are shutting down for eclipse so I get 5 days off. I'm going to hike to the highest lake in Idaho and fish during the eclipse.
 
It's going to pass directly over my house and the town I live near . The town is about 5000 people and they're expecting upwards of 100,000 people to be in the area for the eclipse. I hear it's supposed to be one of the best places in the country to view it . Yippee, a hoard of idiots flooding my area for a few days .
 
Hopefully I'll be sitting in the North Kaibab waiting to scout for my upcoming archery mule deer hunt there.

What am I going to sell em ? My sage brush ? I don't interact with the general public very well, that's why I live out in the sage many miles from town .

I think that is Eelgrass at the 2:57 mark. Or, was him, in the 80's.

Looks like the whole clubhouse gets involved at 3:45.

There's young Homer at 4:30 and that has to be NVB at 5:10.

I guess my mind doesn't work that way. lol I never could figure out the video though. I'll have to look again.
 
I got invited to a Solar Eclipse party on a ranch in Bondurant. You're welcome to come 1911, just check your badge at the gate, there might be some slightly illegal shenanigans going on.
 
It's a really big deal around here. A rancher friend has converted one of his center picot sprinklers to showers and is selling his hay fields as RV parking for three days of fun. Even offered to hire me as enforcement.
But our office is closing and I'll be scouting for critters in the hills. But I'll be sure to lock everything up tight before we head out. Supposed to 300,000 to 400,000 coming from CO plus all kinds of folks from Europe and Asia.

Too crazy for our country.
