I was staying with my family at a Hotel in Nevada 2003. Pot smoke was rolling in through a vent somehow from another room. They must have been competing with Cheech and Chong. Some guy named Tokus Maxximus.

Stayed at a Hotel it Grand Junction Colorado, in April of 2017. The Office lobby was full of posters, promoting pot.

The Hotel complementary magazine, the one most Hotel/Motel have that tells you about where to go for good restaurants, coming music concerts, others things to do in the city, etc.

This Hotel's magazine was all about pot in the city, where you can purchase it, explanations of Colorado's pot laws, the health benefits of pot, and about a third of it was ads seeking investors in pot and pot accessory businesses.

It was a glossy, professionally printed mag., as proud and "natural" as a Western Horseman, or a National Geographic magazine.

If I'm not mistaken, I have heard radio adds, in Utah, inviting pot investors to purchase stock shares in pot enterprises. "Get in early, and make the big money, on the front end of a new and pending national tend in pot". They claim, it's the first big investment opportunity, since the 1980/90 technology bubble.

Don't think we can blame this one on the politicians, voters are the ones dallied up to this boar's nest.

You're wrong about that Bess. This isn't the ragweed stuff you smoked in highschool cut with alfalfa and oregano. Todays pot is very concentrated. It takes a relatively small amount to produce a high. Some of todays dope would put you in ICU thinking you're dying if you smoked it like cigarettes.

Can you put lyrics to that statistic bobcat?

Call it "Gate Way".

Play it on: East 7th Street Radio

First verse....... cut'en and token m-j and lucerne.

Head on over, the Gate Way to......... well.

Second verse......... ICU and you.

Head on over, the Gate Way to......... well.

Third verse......... meth with your mind.

Head over, the Gate Way to........ hell.

It is getting too crazy in the City, and I think you know, the sooner you go, the sooner you'll go.

Marijuana fields replacing Hay Fields...? And a New Song via 2lumpy...?

Well I heard Roy Rogers sitting upon Trigger as he strolled through a Utah Marijuana Field singing: "Home-Home on the Range....Where The Deer... and Antelope Play" :)

It is not a shortage of Nevada Marijuana, it is a lack of TRANSPORTATION from wholesale Nevada Growers. The law was written to fast and left out Transportation needs for the Industry. It currently requires Liquor vendors to Transport. Those resources have not been developed yet so, they (Nevada Gov) will "HASH" it out in an Emergency session today.

Jagerdad :)

Lack of TRANSPORTATION? Lack of TRANSPORTATION?

Governor Sandoval. News alert, there's already, and has been for 30 years, a well established TRANSPORTATION NETWORK, from Southern Californian to Chicago, already rolling up InterState 15 and InterState 70, right through down town Las Vegas.

There is enough dope TRANSPORTATION, going through down town Las Vegas, Nevada to supply every mj dispensary between the Pacific Coast and the midwest. They've been doing since the InterState 70 was completed, in the 1980's.

If the Nevada Governor is in a panic, all he needs to do is call Governor Hickenlooper and hire his established drivers to drop off in Nevada.

Or................ maybe some of our young entrepreneurs will invest in the next new biggest industry in the US and lease a fleet of trucks. Why not, it's legit.

GateWay to........ well. GateWay to.......... hell.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-13-17 AT 10:42PM (MST)[p]Nevada is just going through some growing pains.

There are 2 MJ industries. The first is the medical and legal industry that some States have enacted. The pot is grown under laws that tests the weed, certify, collect taxes, pay employee taxes etc. They can't and usually don't buy off the street. It's more or less regulated. They sell to "patients" and tourists.

The second is the black market weed. They hide out behind locked gates, they don't pay taxes, pay their help under the table, and generally smuggle most of it to States where it's illegal. They do all the environmental damage and draw criminals like rats to a garbage dump. Some bad people.

It's the second group that brings in meth and heroin and all the criminal activity that goes along with it.

IMO, the first group partly runs cover for the second group. A decoy so to speak. See what a nice business this is? The vast majority of growers didn't want it legalized. ie. regulated, pay taxes, etc. They mostly want to legally do whatever the hell they want without any regulation or laws. And they are winning. With an estimated 8-10,000 illegal grows here, there just isn't enough LE to even make a dent.

"They mostly want to legally do whatever the hell they want without any regulation or laws. "

Well said eel, that is consistent with how "they" want everything, not just mj or meth production and use. As long as the law abiding protect the "law haters", they can pull it off.

How much longer do you think it will take before the "law abiding" revert to "vigilante justice", like they did when the LE couldn't handle things in the 1800's?

Do you think it will ever come to that, or will the law abiding just slowly get absorbed into the lawless culture, until "no one" is keeping any laws?

Good questions DC. Around here, saying you're against MJ is like saying you're a conservative Republican. It's best left in the closet. :D It's not "hip" to be anti drug anymore.

Marijuana is still a schedule 1 drug by Federal definition and against federal law. I have visions of Trump and Jeff Sessions sending in the National Guard and cleaning house. Blackhawk helicopters, agent orange, flame throwers, etc. :)

Business owners around here are pretty hush. They love all the large cash sales.

The Government Will probably Sell it Now & Pocket the Money!
