Two minutes and 12 seconds of totality. Amazing how with only 5% of the sun visible there was still probably 75% of the light. That last little bit was like turning off a light!
Not total darkness, but an eery shadow of last light.

We went high up on the foothills above town, so we could watch the shadow come across the Valley. Pretty nice to see all of the street lights come on in the entire town for two minutes. I wasn't prepared for any photography very well, but I did get some interesting shots of the totality portion of the eclipse.

I agree it was pretty awesome. We got 2:33 of totality and every kid K-12 watched it and most were impressed. It was unbelievable to me the number of foreign visitors we had, a lot from New Zealand, and Australia it seemed.

So?

Is it gonna be known as GLOBAL COOLING?

Back Me Off to 1,700 Yards,650 is a Little Close & I'm Not Comfortable with it!

A GUT SHOT at 1,700 Yards will Still Make Some Good BRAGGIN Rights so I Can Say I At Least Hit Him!

We went to the Wind Rivers to see it. I expected it to be a letdown after all the hype, but it was undoubtedly one of the most awesome sights I've ever witnessed.

It wasn't as much the eclipse itself, it was the world around us during the eclipse that left me speechless.

That's a pretty good looking pic!

The wife and I and our preacher from our church went up and watched it a few miles north of the Astorian Campsite and it was truly amazing...our preacher at totality said I can't see it anymore...I said TAKE OF THE WELDING HELMET NOW!!!

Reminded me of a full Moon during hunting season on a clear cold night and the shadows are so crystal clear for a 2 minutes during the day... anybody want to buy a nice pair of Eclipse glasses?? only used once...and never dropped...

Totality from my front yard. Pretty cool. I could see how something like that would have freaked out early civilizations. Neighbors horses and mules headed for the barn as if it was feed time. Outside temperature dropped substantially. Again, pretty cool but no way I would have travelled to see it.

Maybe the next one will be during hunting season...and I'll have a tag. And all the big bucks will come out at "dark" and get caught out in the open...in front of me when the sun comes back out! I can only dream!
