onX Maps/Oregon 650T HELP

I am trying to bring my WY map up on my GPS and I don't know how to get it to come up. I have installed the tiny chip in the back of the unit but I don't know where to go to bring up the map. I leave next Saturday and I really need this map. Where do I go on the unit to bring up the WY map? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the chip is seated correct, then just go to map. If your not in WY now it will just be the regular GPS map.

I am not in WY so the map wont come up so that I can see where the private and public is? I'm pretty sure that the map is seated right but I will do that again. When I do get to WY, what will it say after I hit "map"? Will is show the WY map chip?

Yes as soon as you cross the state line. The chip is still gps dependent.
I have the same unit with Utah and Colorado chips.
Maybe I should back up a little..... If there is a way to select just the chip I'm not aware of it.

What Day did you say you were crossing in to Wyoming?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-17 AT 07:11PM (MST)[p]just scroll over to wyoming, zoom in, and the onx map will show up. You can also open basecamp on the pc, plug in the gps and the WY map will open in basecamp. You can create a generic waypoint somewhere in WY, transfer that waypoint to the gps then you'll have a quick way to get to wyoming on the gps without actually being there.

make sure the onx map is enabled, go to setup, map, then make sure Wyoming map is enabled.
