The wife left to see the grand baby in New York, hasn't come back. No bodies, i've quit a few times, this has been the easiest time, actually doing really good. I promised myself I would quit when my son was done wrestling, took about 6 months of preparation then quit. I had to quit drinking beer also, you know how it is...getting through fishing season will suck.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-10-18 AT 09:09PM (MST)[p]Good for you guys. It sounds like one of those habits like most. Really hard to quit, even though it can kill you.

Good job. It has been 15 years for me. When I quite it was the store clerk at the convenient store fault (thanks) she called me a stupid A## for paying $4.45 for a can of Scoal I was so mad at her I said keep it when I got out in my truck i thought she is right I am a stupid A## I never bought another can it is the best thing a stranger ever did for me.

Congrats!!!

That is a great milestone. Keep up the good work.

Puzzies.
Haha, serious though, you're more man than I am. I quit smoking a few years ago after a DVT/PE kicked my ass, but I haven't been able to kick Copenhagen yet. Keep at it man!

Im a quitter!! Got some Jakes Mint Chew, working great. I never wanted to quit but did several times and kept falling off the wagon. I have it beat this time, biggest problem, I put on 15 pounds in three weeks, can't stop eating. Busting my a$$ to get back down, got 6 off in two weeks, comes off slower than it went on.

You're doing fine partner, keep you eyes on the prize.

I chewed for 2 years and one day just decided to quit. I've never had a craving for it since. I don't think I was ever really addicted. I started because all my buddies were doing it and then it just kind of became a habit.

I drink one diet Mt dew everyday, and a $hit load on the weekends in the summer, winter is coffee with Italian Sweet Cream.

Cant quit everything!!

People will quit things when they are ready. 8 months is a long time to congrats to you. I smoked for 24 years and when my kids were growing up, I decided I didn't want them to come visit me in the hospital...and it be because I was the dipshit that smoked cigarettes. It wouldn't be fair to them. I quit cold turkey and I'm proud of myself for doing it. I am not proud of myself for putting me in the position that I was addicted. I haven't had a chew in as many years as I quit smoking. Life is good. Once you don't feel the need to post how long its been, you'll know you're past it. Keep that in mind. :)

Its nice living my life on my own terms.....not wondering at what point in the day...or hour I will be able to satisfy that addiction. That's the greatest part about quitting....you have your life back. Congrats again and don't ever let it control you anymore.
