Most all of you know my Son was on the USA Olympic Team and back when the Summer Games were active, very, very few of you replied to my post and sadly, as an average guy, I do understand anything "Olympic" ='s .. That is unknown to me, my family and friends plus, is it only rich kids who get to go practice... ? How do they do School work and even be recognized as having Talent .. ? Yes, I understand all such wondering Parents Minds.

But, since I also wonder, I wonder how many countries are using the Olympics and each youth, for their National teams to explore how good their respective Espionage Programs are ... ?

Breaking it down to a single question, I ask, how many or if any of the NORTH KOREANS will defect ... ? Or does the NORTH have the Athletes Families looking down a gun barrel so each Athlete never defects and kills their Mother, Father and Siblings >>> ?

That is my question.

Side note, how many of you will watch the WINTER Olympics and have happiness or know who many be close to your Home Town and now, over there ... ?

If there are any Californians on the US team...I wonder how many of them will just move to North Korea? To feel at home.

Try to imagine looking down the barrel of your biathlon rifle at a circular target ? 4.5 inches diameter for standing, 1.77 inches diameter for prone ? at just over 50 yard away, while gasping for air.

Com'on, USA, USA, USA .... This is Shooting and Olympics And our USA Athletes SHOOTING. I placed this here hoping one of you may introduce a Youth to the Sport.

Jagerdad :) USA :) USA :) USA

So....I watched Biathlon tonight. Why does it matter how many targets you hit? Some got 3...some got 4, and most got all 5. The first 3 people to cross the finish line get medals.

There is a 150 meter "penalty loop" separate from the main course. Each miss translates to one penalty lap. So three misses adds 450 meters to the racer's total distance.

Ahhhh,....thank you!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-13-18 AT 06:33PM (MST)[p]This year I hit an elk, then missed, then hit it a final time and incurred no penalty lap. As a matter of fact, it ran slightly closer to the road! I was rewarded for poor performance! Yikes!
Maybe next year I'll simply shoot better and pack-out farther!

Go USA!
