Another Mental Health act of shootings

A Veteran was removed from Mental Health Classes in Napa California and returned to shoot staff and was confronted by a Deputy Sheriff wherein he stopped end killed himself.

I heard one of the women was 7 months pregnant, seems like they would have stormed the place since a sheriff already had a shoot out with the suspect instead of waiting outside.

264mag, storming the place when he has live hostages can be the event that forces the suspect to start killing the hostages as a last act.
If he starts shooting hostages and the officers know it, they usually will storm the hostage taker trying to prevent any further killings by him.

And, as a secret note, I sent yah an email.

And 264... I sure do feel your thoughts. You are more correct than you may know. Yet, as I mentioned, it becomes complicated. So I shall simply say, as Sheriff's respond, there are tactics that I would never write about. I may say that in a FLUID SITUATION, at least in my Dept, simply 1 (one) solo Deputy coming at a bad guy = the bad guy, or bad gal... is about to be neutralized (This does not always mean shot) but their negative activity will be modified.... Maybe ... ? Fluid is just that. A Deputy is usually always alone. That is far different than TV's navy Seal Team 6 that is a group on men or, in any Military operation, its a group with you. A Deputy learns to do everything, totally solo: ALONE.

Also, Deputies in the WEST, especially when their Beat is 100's of sq miles are different than say a Deputy in the EAST where the entire County is not 100's of sq Miles. Just ask any Deputy in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and yes, especially California.

Jager, you mentioned that deputies are often alone. That never stopped Matt Dillon, Paladin, or Clint Eastwood, or the Lone Ranger.

RELH, you bring up a good point, except for the Lone Ranger. The Lone Ranger and Tonto broke up after the Lone Ranger found out kemosabe was Indian for 'horses ass'.
