Here is one. A brace my electrician grandpa used to bore holes for wire. I can almost sense the man I never knew when I hold it.

I used to use one of them. Back before cordless drills were invented there was one of those in every ranch truck. Haven't held one since I was a teenager. If you had to drill above your head your arms would feel like they were going to fall off.

Here's mine. I keep hearing about the new fangled cordless drills. Pffff! What happens if the power goes out? Go home for the day? Not on my job.

Have put a few 100 BUCK rake teeth in with a brace and bit. Have hung a lot of gates along ways from the house. A tool I still use a dozen times a year. Lost the best one. "my granddads" one he'll of a pack horse wreck stampede! Still look for it when we ride through there..

So many old gadgets like this truely amaze me. If you have a good bit, it is really insane how quickly you can vote a 7/8ths hole through lumber. I thought I'd lost this one. It was at my dads place and after he died this winter I've been slowly cleaning up and sorting things out. I was registered whe. It was gone. Well he must have recently used it because I found it in another part of the house. It was a better recovery than losing and finding your wallet at a Prim gas station for me.
