I'm Not a Truck Driver!

Surely Not BRAGGIN!

Just wondering How many 'accounted for' Miles You've Drove in your Day?

I've Broke into the One Million Mile Club!

But Not Quite the 2 Million Mile Club yet!

This Includes Personal & Work Vehicles!

1,871,000+ Miles for Me!

GAWD I'd like to Have the Fuel,Oil,Tires & Maintenance Money Back that that's Cost Me!

Oh did I Mention:

A Pretty Good Chunk of these Miles Were Recreational/Off Road Miles!:D:D:D

Post Em Up Boys!

You wouldn't believe me if I told ya ;-) I had my CDL for 23 years and drove for over 16 of those. I didn't keep my damn log books but I would conservatively estimate around 1.7 million miles in a commercial truck.
I drive even more now, criss-crossing the country quite a bit for events and shows. When I travel to shows I drive hard and will usually average 900 miles a day or more. My home in Central Utah to Dallas Texas is over 1,000 miles and I do that trip non-stop other than gas and bathroom breaks. It's 2,200 miles from my place to the Harrisburg Pa. farm complex. I do that trip in 2 days. I used to do it in just under 2 full days, but I'm slowing down with age.

Back on June 20, 1990 I bought my first new truck. A Ford Ranger from St. George Ford. Took delivery that morning and by the afternoon my buddy and I were loaded up and driving to Alaska, looking for adventure and riches. We would have made that one in three days too if it hadn't been for those damn mounties not letting us into Canada for three days. That along with a 1,000 mile detour to Prince Rupert and the Cassiar Highway, and an overnight adventure with the native ladies of Watson Lake B.C., ;-)

We got jobs in Fairbanks, lived in a tent along the Nenana river and adopted a german shepherd/chow mix named Chelsea, to guard our camp while we were out working or raising hell. Man did that dog ever hate indians. Four months and 19,000 miles later on the Ford Ranger, back in Utah. I was driving really fast out by Motoqua after work so I could get a couple hours of deer hunting in. I had just stopped and gotten my model 70 and Ruger Blackhawk out and laid them on the seat. I hugged the right side of the dirt road because there was an oncoming truck. My tires caught the shoulder, I over corrected and it went straight for the ditch on the other side, catapulting my truck end over end 3 times and my guns went bouncing down the road(still have the winchester).

Anyways, to make my point, that was the funnest, but not quite the wildest, 19,000 miles of my driving career ;-) I've driven over 2.5 million personal miles, not counting the 1.7 cdl logged miles I mentioned earlier. I know there are folks out there who have racked up more miles than me, but I've never met anyone who did it in fewer years.

Now how about some other fun topics, like land speed records, or who had their license revoked the quickest? I got mine on a Wednesday and by Friday night I had enough tickets racked up to get it pulled.

When I went on a mission, they requested a copy of my driving record, it was a 3 page print out. They said, that little bastard is never driving a mission car. I said you must be confused. That is not my driving record, that's my NASCAR resume ;-)

don't know about driving miles....but after falling timber for 20 years I could of walked to Siberia and back twice...taking generations of hunter gatherers to make it across the Bering land bridge in the old days is a bunch of hooey....

I consistently drive right around 7000 miles a year, quite a bit less now that I'm retired....X 52 years for a total of 364,000 miles.

I drive pretty slow so I probably have more actual time behind the wheel than Bobcat. :D

So this is the excitement for the day? How many miles you've driven in your life? C'mon BESS!! I expect better from you. You should go back to harassing NR tag recipients!
