You are not safe anywhere in today's society. I CCW all the time when away from home and keep a firearm within easy reach in the home. My wife is a damn good shot also and keeps her S&W M-36 close by.
Heck, I have 14 year old grandkids that can outshoot most adults with pistol or rifle or shotgun. Two of them started shooting trap on a local team at 12 years of age.

Im good Bess. A whole bunch of people, including kids, that are pretty shook up I imagine. I knew the guy that was killed but not the shooter. Know of him tho. Its a damn shame. I never knew the victim to ever harm anyone.

I would have understood if this happened in Utah. Have you read about all the Affinity Fraud cases ?
