Another example of cops saving someone to death.

Somebody high up, along with these officers, needs to get canned. These cops are full on idiots.

You can tell these people who are supposed to be professionals obviously aren't thinking clearly in the least little bit. I don't want screaming adrenaline junkies carrying firearms and having this kind of authority.

That's embarrassing......hard to watch.

....they must have thought the old lady with the walker was in on it.....

I'd rather die quickly from a bullet then have my head cut off. I don't walk in their shoes.

That lady family just got a huge pay day from LAPD

That didn't exactly solve the problem.

Classic herd mentality. One fires, they all fire. They should have used a sniper or at least a rifle.

why is the officer in the second video shooting??? is easy to see theres no chance of him hitting the perp without hitting the victim. all three of them from that side. makes no sense why any of them would shoot. that's not accidental, that's stupidity.

*We are all in the same boat, just
wishing to be hunting right now!*

Awful judgement and aim. 40sw between the eyes at that range? Piece of cake. Terrible dumb. Perhaps Cali better continue with the no gun transition and give the PD blackjacks.

"Courage is being scared to death but
saddling up anyway."

There's a lot of things they should have done different. But when he started to cut her head off he kind of forced their hand.

Some days just don't end well. It makes us feel better to have someone to blame. It's funny that nobody here blamed the acid head. He was just a fact you are all willing to accept. Think about that for a minute as you all pontificate ?judgement.?

If he was indeed in the actual act of cutting her head off, then he killed her.

Again if this was just a blame game we could comment how "funny" it is nobody blamed "the acid head's" parents for his upbringing. Or how nobody blamed his drug dealer. But we aren't. WE ARE BLAMING THE IDIOT THAT BLEW HER BRAINS OUT. An idiot with a weapon, not enough or improper training, and totally not fit for his career choice, killed her WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST CARE FOR HER WELL BEING.

Why don't you stand in front of her family and look them in the eye and tell them, "Some days just don't end well." To them her life had real value. To you it's just some extra form you have to fill out now when you want to get home at the end of a long day. UNBELIEVABLE.

Listen to the audio. These guys are stoooooooopid.

I just watched it , pretty sad

Well, I'm proud of your for being able to maintain such a solid composure despite the adrenaline coursing through your veins as you dissect this from behind a keyboard. Your tactical experience under stress is nothing short of a marvel.

What actually amazes me is time and again police fall back on "My tactical experience" as their defense. THAT ISN'T LOGIC. That in no way shape or form is a valid excuse.

When you go to BURGER KING and there is a roach in your hamburger does the manager say "Well how much fast food cooking experience do you have?", when you complain???????? No he doesn't. DO you know why he doesn't say that? Because he works in the private sector and the private sector doesn't f----ing accept crappy responses that aren't logic.

Apparently cops get to use that BS excuse time and time again along with stupid comments like ,"Some days just don't end well", after they blew some grandma's head off.

Grow up, and act like a professional and quit defending behavior, or bad policy, or flat out stupidity just because someone has a badge. That's part of being a professional. Don't just hold yourself to a higher standard than what a civilian can do but hold your colleagues to that same standard.

This is tragic and I will put blame on no one. It does seem that once one cop shoots, they all just jump in which is not good. I will not put myself in their shoes. I can't understand what they are feeling at that moment. Maybe there should be a "lead" shooter and just fire one round at a time instead of really putting that semi-automatic to work. One nicely placed bullet to the neck or head of that guy would've been sufficient.
It is strange that after the perp is on the ground dead, the cop keeps repeating to drop the knife....its out of his hand and the guy is dead. This leads me to believe his brain has been taken over by adrenaline. Its really sad.

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

That's really sad. No winners there. I don't know what I would do, but I am 100% confident I would not take the shot with a handgun from the bad angle with the hostage in the way.

Made me hurt just to watch that. Glad I live in rural Wyoming. But we have a few crazies here, too.

I would venture a guess that if the 2nd shooter was able to watch the video first he wouldn't have shot either.

Kill the bad guy, the rest can be written off as collateral damage.
Not a Police Officer, but it seems the PD were looking past the women.

I know one thing?.if a cop tells me to do something, I'm doing it. Yes Sir! No telling how many lives I might save.

Could have been an in law and not an outlaw.

These days it is difficult to find good canidates to be police officers. Many canidates don't apply because it is such an un appreciated job, thus lower your hiring standards to fill positions. I am not saying that is the case here. Add in the fact lack of training. This is a sad situation, have a plan, practice your plan, do it as planned. The lead officer had the shot he should have taken the head shot. That being said hind sight 20/20. JB

I can believe this statement completely. Between the disassembly of the American family unit and the erosion of our education system its getting difficult in almost every field to find good employees. Unfortunately this career requires us giving sub-par employees a weapon.
